If I ran the zoo...

Slate

If I ran the zoo, I would go to Hawaii to capture a Weegifir. I would need a pizza to catch a Weegifir because that is his favorite food. He lives in a volcano. He is all different colors and he has flat teeth. The Weegifir flies and he sleeps during the day. He makes a roar sound.

Linden

If I ran the zoo, I would go to a cave to capture a Weechil. I would need a net and a flash light to catch a Weechil because it will be dark in the cave. The Weechil likes to eat meat. They are brown and red and they have feathers. The Weechil slides and makes a squealing noise.

Vivian

If I ran the zoo, I would go to the farm to capture a Lizooly. I would need some macaroni to capture a Lizooly because that is what they love to eat. They like to live in barns. They are white and brown. They have smooth teeth. The Lizooly can run fast and they don’t make any sounds.

What is LOVE?

We are putting together some things for Valentine's Day and I decided to ask each student the question, "What is love?" As the students answered the questions, they really made me smile. All of their answers are exactly right. The things they said are definitely some definitions of love. They also made some signs for you!
"You Touch My Heart"

Zeb - love is hugging and kissing like your mom and dad do and love is when my dad takes me fishing.

Ellis- Love is when your heart is full. It is when I take care of my moms broken arm.

Finn - Well, love is when my dad gives my mom great advice.

Rachel- Love is holding me when I get a boo boo.

Jacob - Love is picking up trash for my mom.

Wyatt - Love is mom and dad kissing a lot, a lot, a lot.

Eliza - Love is when mom and dad go on a date.

Austin - Uhh, What did you say? I don't know, I really don't know. Uhh, love is when my mom feeds the family.

Akina - Love is when I go to my room so my mom can do her homework.

Vivian - Love is all about hugs. You know I love my brother when I wrap his presents by myself.

Sammy - Love is when people like  people a real real lot and when I make toast for my mom for breakfast. That is love too.

Linden - Love is someone who is your number one fan and when you get married. It is also when my mom and dad make a cheeseburger with me in the middle.

Emmalee- Love is your mom.

Ayden- Love is going in the boat and hunting with your dad.

Alexa- Love is sitting close and cuddling. Love is taking care of a crying baby at night and love is also praying for that baby to stop crying.

Slate- Love is when my dad gives my mom a check and she gives him some money back.

Kindergarten Students Half Way There!

I took some photos today during recess and I would like to share them. You will get one home soon for the next special day coming up. I pulled each child during recess and took a "quick" photo. They turned out so natural and truly showed the personalities of each child. I used my business slideshow to put them on the blog and my watermark is an embedded file. Otherwise, I would take it off!
